About Scott
Scott learned to build instruments at the Violin Making School of America, before joining the workshop of Rafael Carrabba in 2011. Working there in restoration for over a decade, Scott had the privilege to perform extensive repairs on many fine instruments from all over the world.
With over 14 years of professional experience restoring antique violins, violas, and cellos, Scott is dedicated to finding the best possible expression of the voice of each instrument through rigorous standards of alignment and the perfect balance of tension.
Scott loves all things that are made by hand and built to last, objects that grow in character with each passing year, and is proud to be a part of the story for every instrument he works on.
